The Future of Buddhism: Challenges and Opportunities in Modern Society
Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche will be requested to share his insights into the future of Buddhism in the Modern world, addressing key questions such as:
—What are the main challenges and opportunities for Buddhism in the Modern World?
—How can the tradition of Tantric Buddhism, as found in the Tibetan tradition, co-exist with a society increasingly dominated by individualism and the rejection of gurus?
—Are there risks in the trend to secularise Buddhism?
—What dangers are inherent in the rejection by some Buddhists of teachings on rebirth and karma?
Important: Attendance of the teaching is by advance booking only. Places are limited. We regret that we will not be able to admit anyone who arrives at the door without a confirmed booking.
Schedule:
Saturday, 10th March: 3-5pm
Sunday, 11th March: 11am-1pm
The teaching will start promptly at 3pm on Saturday 10th March.
Doors will open at 2pm; please try to arrive early.
